Made In America (The Sorpranos Finale)

It seemed like a big slap in the face to all the viewers. For a show that gave so much over eight years, the expectations for an outstanding finale were just too high. People hate not knowing, they wanted a concrete ending...something set in stone. I was galled when I first watched it, but now I get it. It's the inconclusive that keeps people talking about it right up to this day. It will never die. It wasn't a blow, but a piece of slap-stick excellence.


Executive producer David Chase:

"They wanted 'justice.' They wanted to see his brains splattered on the wall. I thought that was disgusting, frankly. The pathetic thing—to me—was how much they wanted his blood, after cheering him on for eight years."

"There is more then one way of looking at that ending, that's all ill ever say"
